This is a self portrait I did on a plate camera many decades ago. I always liked the shot, but felt it lacked something. By adding in the background sky I give it the mood it needed. I resisted the temptation to add a moon or any other element as it would have distracted from the main shot. And yes the hair is real, not dyed. The final images is A0 and is around 1600 dpi. The level of detail on the image is what you would expect from a plate camera and the web image does not really do it justice.
