Colour to Colour
How do I deal with problematic colour images where no matter what I do I can’t get the colours right. Here is an example of an image that was shot on micro photography film with an ISO of 50 and no amount of correction will remove the colour cast...
Answer?. Colourisation… That’s right I made a copy of the Image in mono, colourise it and then combine the original colour with the new colour to create a new image..
The top left is the original raw unrestored image. The top right is the restored image but the colours are off, too much of a magenta cast and nothing I do corrects it.
The bottom left Is the colourised version I did from a mono version. The final version is a combination of the original and new colour with added sky which I painted…
Final result: A colour image I was trying to get all alone but just couldn't get. The colourisation version is oversaturated so I had to take the colours down and mute the background so you didn't distract from the girl.....
